Dreamforce 2017 – Day 2 Highlights

We can’t believe Dreamforce ‘17 is already halfway over, but the energy and passion we see around here in the attendees, even after such a long day, is still as high as it was at the start of the day. Here is a short video for you to share how Salesforce welcomed us all for Day 2 and opened the DF’17 for the second day:

There was no shortage of insights, observations, and experiences being shared. Here’s a recap of our favorite moments from the day:

1- Salesforce Einstein AI Keynote

AI took center stage on quite a few stages today during day two of Dreamforce ‘17. At the “Salesforce Einstein: Blaze New Trails with AI” keynote, Salesforce dove deeper into new Einstein-powered features that will allow companies to create intelligent experiences. We also learned more about myEinstein, first announced on Day 1 of Dreamforce during Marc Benioff’s opening keynote, which enables developers of all skill levels to build and customize AI apps using clicks, not code.

Later, at the “Future of AI Expert Panel” moderated by Fortune’s Adam Lashinsky, AI experts Suchi Saria, Richard Socher and Peter Norvig discussed the state of AI and how it’s transforming the future of business. The panel explained how AI has become good at taking hard tasks, and figuring out a sequence of moves to achieve a goal, and how that’s applicable to businesses today.

To sum it all up, Peter Norvig’s statement stands out from the session “In order to deploy AI, you need to have a mindset that data is valuable, and that you want to do something with it.” Here is a video on the complete session:

2- The Fortune CEO Series

Every year, Dreamforce unites industry Trailblazers, visionary thinkers, and global leaders for inspiration, networking, fun, and making the world a better, more equal place. This year at DF’17 the CEOs had a lively dialogue about building customer trust, spurring innovation with artificial intelligence, and using business to improve the state of the world.

3- Dreampitch

This year Dreampitch returned to Dreamforce with a new set of innovative startups (built on the Salesforce platform) pitching their vision to our panel of all-star judges. We all listened thoughtfully as Retrolux, Loop & Tie, and Meta SaaS made their cases for taking home the grand prize. It was an interesting bunch of presentation of their ideas and what they’ve done & plan to do.

But only one startup could walk away with the $250,000 investment from Salesforce Ventures. Congratulations Sara for winning the Dreampitch for Loop & Tie!

5- Dreamfest at AT&T Park

And finally, the stars literally came out at night at the Dreamfest in AT&T Park. We had an amazing time and Changi made it among the other attendee names at the walls 🙂
