The Entertainer mobile application offers discounts to more than 45 products by more than 10,000 merchants, from restaurants, to spas, to hotels and more, covering 40 destinations in more than 20 countries. “Today, we are an innovative company, expanding very nicely at around 50% year on year,” says David Ashford, CIO of The Entertainer.
However, before becoming a staple app on every smartphone in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Europe, The Entertainer started out as a simple tear-out print book offering 2-for-1 coupons to restaurants in Dubai. But soon enough, interest in The Entertainer’s services started to grow and the company’s business strategy started changing in preparation for expansion into other markets.
